Currently The Kennel Club has no health screening schemes or DNA tests in place for Chihuahuas. 

We think Coco is happy about this as it would mean she'd have to come off the sofa for longer than she'd like to.

The Kennel Club recommends that breeders complete extensive eye testing along with Hip & Elbow scoring however these tests take place from 12 months old so Maya isn't quite old enough yet
